How to restrict the data being logged in URS logs with out changing the Verbose

We are using URS version 8.1.200.16. We recently deployed it. We want to restrict the data being logged in URS log with out changing the Verbose level from all to standard as the environment is not stable yet. Please advice.

We can change the amount of data being logged by changing the Verbose from ALL to Standard or debug and all. I just want to know if there any way to restrict data being logge

What you mean by restrict...size? time?
On details you have the levels you mention...that is it...the output (console/file/network aka database) will depend on your choice.

Restrict in the sense

For EG: when URS is targeting the DN it will check for best available agent with Stat server which need not to be logged in URS log as its logged in Stat server log. PFB for log snippet of URS log. I want to restrict these kind of data being logged in URS.

Hi,

It is possible to configure what type of messages will be written to URS log using 'verbose' option. You can find detailed description and list of messages in URS Reference Manual.

R.

PS. It is not 'verbose' option you can find in [log] section.

1. Find the message template in URS reference (or just run URS with command line parameter -messages and look for the message in URS output).
2. get numer of this message (it probably will be 294).
3. In URS options (or annexes) create section VerboseLevels.
4. Put inside option with name as message numer (294) and value of verbose level you want this option to have. If it will be higher (for example if to set it to 6) than value of router's option verbose then it will not go to URS log.

Just to add some more comment, you say that no need to store the SS request but you may need to if for example you expect something and it doesn't happen. You will need to follow what URS requested (if did) and what SS returned...you can't sometimes fix an issue by just looking one side ;)
