Migrating from Hyperion to Crystal Reports

Hey Experts,

We're planning to deploy Crystal Reports to replace Hyperion.
Did anyone experience this before? Does Genesys provide same out of the box reports they used to provide on Hyperion? What's the easiest way to get the custom reports already developed on Hyperion migrated to Crystal?

Thanks ;)

No migration perse. Genesys does provide the same Out of Box templates, I found it annoying on Crystal that you can only launch a report for a single object and not multiple ones.
Get familiar with Crystal Reports first, then do the move. Or find another BI that adjusts to your needs.

Thanks Cavagnaro for your feedback. I didn't know that I can't launch a report on one object at a time. This will be a huge disappointment :(

There are some shortcuts to getting where you want to be, but you have to "know" your PL/SQL.  If you can extract the actual Query from Hyperion, it makes it easier to emulate in Crystal.  But that really is at the nuts and bolts level....

I did some work earlier this year on simulating CCA Hyperion reports but using Crystal Reports and Infomart. Some pointers:
[list]
[li]If you like Hyperion then use Oracle Business Intelligence as its the new name for Hyperion (v11 now but backward compatible with existing BQYs).[/li]
[li]Customers buy CR because it's cheap, but this is a false economy. The professional services for using CR will cost you more than the Oracle BI license![/li]
[li]You can modify CR reports to report on multiple objects but you need to customise the report heavily[/li]
[li]Genesys PS didn't have the CR skills. [/li]
