Route GVP call to external PSTN not setup with Genesys

Hi Guys,

Newbie here! wanting some help please on how to transfer a call to an external PSTN after it has routed through our GVP IVR app.

Please note the external number is not on our switch and it does not require any attached data transfered.

Running: Genesys 7.2, Cisco call manager 4.1

Should I use a TRoute for this within URS?
Do I configure an external route point in CME with the external number?

Hi,

I assume your IVR is deployed in "front-of" mode so you can transfer the call directly from GVP or you can use TRoute in your strategy.

The best bet would be to use the TRoute statement. Additionally, you might want to see that the external number that you are trying to route the call to is actually permissioned on the PBX(Otherwise, you might just hear a setbusy tone). Hope this helps.

Hi All,

I've been advised by an few engineers that it is not possible to TRoute calls to external PSTN numbers - I find this a bit weird.

Can someone confirm this?

We have a CUCM-Genesys environment with the correct CUCM config for the RP (i.e. CSS, Route Partitions, etc) - I've tried TRoute-ing to external PSTN (i.e. [b][u][i]TRoute[varRP,'',RouteTypeDefault,''][/i][/u][/b]) - however it just returns a busy signal  ???

Please enlighten me!

It is possible to route call to the external network/number within TRoute function.
