Looking for help configuring an Alcatel 4400 with Genesys. We have Tserver up and running but need advice on the 4400 configuration. Specifically, since we are not using CCD how do we set up external routing requests to URS?

  • TServer uses hunting groups with virtual member devices on the PBX to provide routing functionality.
Unlike emulated routing using hunting groups, A4400 R4.2 provides RSI functionality which delivers native routing capabilities on the PBX.

  • Can we define Agents in RSI without the CCD?? It seems that we can send attach data to the hardphone screen...can we do that with any other PABX? What are the advantages and limitations of integrating Genesys with Alcatel 4400??

  • Concerning the configuration it doesn't matter if the agent used for RSI or CCD. The decision if the agent should act as a RSI or CCD agent is made by the group the agent is logged in. Since there exist two types of groupes (RSI Group, CCD Processing Group).

In general RSI is cheaper than CCD.
Native routing capabilities are provided by RSI.
RSI provides the ability to play treatments from the switch.

CCD uses emulated routing (hunting groups or IVR Ports)
The playing of Voice treatments in a strategy requires an IVR(eg. CCivr)
CCD is a very powerful routing product
