Hi all,

Why in Data Modeling Assistant, do I see only some categories and not for exemple Average Category. How could I had this Category ?

  • Because collecting of Average data doesn't make sense for Historical Reporting. You have to calculate Average data for accurrate time period from total values directly in the Reports.

  • I was able to create average stats by defining my own stats in statserver. This way, we do no have to do as much number crunching when we generate all our reports. Brio is an excellent product, but when it comes to math, Genesys made a big mistake: the product is good for running small, structured queries with a preset data pool, but when you start working with custom queries and needing to process multiple db sources, I think it is really lacking some of the features available in the other reporting packages. This is why we try to do all our math either in statserver or with stored procedures.

    What stats are you trying to generate, because maybe I can help you with it.
