good day,
i am not very much expert within genesys platforms but i need some info regarding avaya-genesys connectivity.

i Have avaya virtual call center setup one hub site different remote sites all managed through one Tserver,
recently we have been engineering high availability for all call center solution and we installed avaya ESS and LSP but when i wanted to connect another T-server to the ESS and LSP sites the local support advised me that i need to have separate PBX servers in aech site to be able to connect multiple T-servers in each site and communicate with the genesys IR.

so the result is that genesys don't support multiple connection unless i gave up the virtual call center features.!!!!!!!!

your support is high appreciated either with the multilink or the genesys backup theory.

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know if it helps you but there is a document available on Genesys xChange site that describes possible scenarios and interoperability between Genesys TServer with Avaya ESS. The name of this document is "Avaya ESS Support Information".

Generally it's possible to connect multiple TServers to one Avaya switch but it isn't recommended solution and such configuration isn't supported by Genesys. And I would say it won't help you as you have just one central switch and trying to find a way of connecting TServer to ESS on remote site. Is that right?

  • Do you mean a "backup" T-Server connected at the remtoe site??

We have ESS installed as well -- we placed one AES server at the main site and the other AES server with the ESS at the remote location.

We have a T-Server at each AES location configured as hot-standby

We have Avaya PBX with 4 cti links connected to 4 map-ds and each 2 are connected to pair of tservers for remote sites. genesys supports it for 7.2 version - not sure if it is for 7.5 as it clearly mentions in its doco
