Probably a very easy question but i can't seem to get TRoute to work. What do i have to put in the fields in order to make it work? I've looked at the docs, but they don't give me the info i'm looking for. I want to route to a DN which is not configured within Genesys. I can't use Force.

Just put a DN under destination without an alias.
You will also have to put some kind of TargetSelect after it (it will be ignored).

Why can't you use Force?

Somehow Force doesn't work, i can select it within Strategy Builder, but when doubleclicking on it nothing happens.

I tried TRoute but it gives an error when compiling.

So step by step :
1.On the first field (destination) i put the DN
2.Location (it says a statserver in documentation, but i don't want to use that right?), don't know what to fill in
3.Route Type, i've put this on RouteTypeDirect
4.DNIS, i've left this blank, but i guess i should put the DN here as well??

Please clear this up.

Dear Anonymous,

just use Force, it will solve all you problems. just add force, after force add a select arget and under it add a targetDN. Let's say you wanted to force a call to ACD 8000. What you would do then, under Target, you would just type 8000 do not add statserver info.

TRoute works in similar ways just add 8000 (since this is what we are using for an example) as a destination, and forget the rest. After TRoute, add SelectTarget with Target DN as 8000. That should do the trick.

  • What kind of switch are you useing?
I know that with Siemens Hicom Switch you can't use Force command.
A trick to transfert a call to a Dn in a strategy, is to select
as target a 'virtual' agent never logged in (like agent 'dummy') an to insert as a busy treatment the alias of your DN.
Try this i'm sure that works fine.
