IRD questions

Hi there,

on the puzzle piece symbol of URS in IRD (Monitoring/Loading) there is a red puzzle piece covering the blue one. Im asking myself, what this is supposed to mean.
Does this just show primary URS is in backup mode?
Further a connection in IRD is obviously not displayed correctly. While URS_HA runs in Primary Mode its Connection in URS Connections is displayed as unknown. This can't be right, does it?
Apart from that URS is running perfectly proper.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Phil

Red on blue means the URS reports itself to IRD as being in Backup mode.  About rest not sure - do not have case when connection statsuc depends from primary/backup mode of URS.

It's not compulsively the case that this depends the operation mode of URS, it were just the current conditions, i described. So, it might have diffenrent reasons. For example, there are running two different versions of URS...

Indeed, even in default operation mode of both URS and URS_HA, the issue persists. Further, straighten the version makes no difference either to that little problem.

Any ideas?

I've only ever seen red meaning that the URS is in backup mode.

Yeah that's clear, now. Im meant the issue with the connection unknown, displayed in IRD monitoring connection.

Do all the connections show as unknown or just some of them?

If all of them are unknown then it might be because of the Message Server connection to IRD

It's just the connection to URS/URS_HA. And this tho it works fine.

When you select in IRD monitoring view the router (URS. URS_HA) - what IRD reports in Monitoring tab (status, detail actions) for these problem routers?

Everthing's fine and no action is required. The lights on Configuration and Monitoring are green. Just the connection from URS > URS_HA is displayed as unknown.

Managed to replicate this the other day - added a connection from URS1 to URS2 and it shows up as unknown in IRD. Doesn't matter what connection protocol you use, always shows as unknown.

URS reports to IRD only statuses of "officially supported" router's servers (tserver, staserver, dbserver, custyomserver, LDS, configserver, message server). URS itself is not in this list (how URS going to use connection to another URS? - even if it can there is nothing about it in Genesys doc). IRD shows status of all not reported by specific URS servers as Unknown.
