ICC manual is cr*p!

Genesys Internet Contact Center release 6.1 is one of the most confusing pieces of software I had an honor to deal with.

For the past few days, I was struggling valiantly trying to understand how to install a callback feature that comes with ICC.
"Installing and Configuring Internet Contact Center 6.1" manual is one of the worst explanation documents I have had read so far.

I was trying to use this document to install ahipbone server, but I could not even follow a simple stepystep procedure that is described there: many a time I felt like they were using a different product version when they've wrote this piece of crap.

Can somebody please email me a stepystep instruction on how to install ICC? I have already framework and enterprise routing installed. I also have JRun installed on the same machine as my IIS. Can you please tell me how to go about installing the callback?

After a few futile attempts, I realized that ICC needs to be installed BEFORE installing Hipbone server (I wish they would say that!).
What I tried to do is to use Genesys Configuration Wizard and create a new ICC solution and THEN install the CoBrowse Solution, but still, it would not even come close to what they have in their manual.

Please help!

Go to the genesys technical support website and download the file "Migration Guide for ICC 6.1" It is a definitely a better guide then the documentation that came with the CD.

once you had install and configure according to the guide, you should have a working ICC based on the demo webpages from genesys.

it would be useful if you also know Microsoft IIS.

    Hello!

I just had a few moments to look for the "newiest" questions and I saw this one. I totally agree with you guys what you have written about the ICC manuals.

And one comment about the installation order. According to the manual Hipbone has to be installed first then the rest of the ICS Solution.

I have pretty good manual about ICS 6.1 Tier 2 installation and configuration. If someone would like that, please email to me and I would sent copy to you.
