When ODS database is going down and then is restarted DataSourcer does not automatically fills ODS with data (we need to restart it which causes loosing some data). Does anybody get this problem or know how to avoid it?

Hi,
It's not because you stop the datasourcer that you loose data. The datasourcer asks for the value of defined statistics to stat server at fixed time intervals. If you stop datasourcer at another time than the one at which it asks for the stat values, you won't loose any data.

QuestionFdoes DataSourcer get data only for REAL time???
I thought that it was possible to have datasourcer query data from BEFORE it was started. As long as StatServer has it, dataserver should get it...

In other words, if I have 30 minute profiles for agent group A, and I start DataSourcer at 1:45, I should be able to get 1 to 1:30 profile... am I wrong? (Not sure)

  • Vic,
According to my understandung DataSourcer takes data for last 15 minutes interval. If some of them are gone (e.g. you run DataSourer at 1.45) data are gone. On the other hand if DataSourcer is running but there is no access to ODS database DataSourcer writes data to temporary file and after the successfull reconnect to ODS database it writes all data from the file to ODS.
