People!

Why would GAD 7.2 TConnection_Event fire EVENT_PRIMARY_CHANGED on one PC but not on another? Testing GAD 7.2 on two identical PCs, using the same T-Server/T-Server-Backup. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi Peter,

GAD is server based application so all events are processed on server-side and then propagated to the clients. What do you exactly mean by "TConnection_Event fire EVENT_PRIMARY_CHANGED on one PC but not on another"?

  • I agree with René (ALT-0233 for those who wonder how you get this funky looking French "é")

You need to be a bit more specific with your question. When does it happen. What exactly do you see in your logs?

Just a shot in a dark, but have you checked if both of your PCs can access both of your primary and backup T-Servers? I remember spending a motherload of time on figuring out why Genesys ActiveX would not give me EventRoleChanged only to find out that PCs could not even reach the second host. After telling the admin everything I thought about him (the backup host somehow managed to be associated with some bizzare domain in Europe), I added the entries into HOSTS file, and everything worked just fine.

So, just to be on a safe side, ping both of your t-servers from both of your Pcs and see if ping goes where you need it to go. And if it does not, for a while being, just add the hostnames into your HOSTS file.

I hope it helped! But like I said, this is just a shot in a dark considering that there is nothing else from you yet. so don't crucify me if it is not going to solve your problem!  ;)
    Good luck!
