  • Hi Phil,

    It's been a while I worked with GIS for last time but ... Have you tried to add StatServer to connections of GIS application?

  • On SS do you see the client connection? Can you connect to the SS TCP port from GIS machine?

  • telnet works fine. the hosts are in the same subnet, so no firewalling active between these hosts.

  • according to netstat there is neither a connection from gis to ss nor the other way around which confirms the gis log output and the question ("why?") persists, as it seems just fine...  ???

  • With GIS up try to remove and reattach the SS application, you should see on the logs the component modification and see from there if any error raises. Maybe SS need some Java configuration?

    so, it's "not able to provide service", but this isnt really a new insight :-D

    about the java config i found the following

    [java-config]
    java-extensions-dir=./java/ext
    java-libraries-dir=./java/lib
    jvm-path=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_12/jre/bin/server/jvm.dll

    [java-extensions]
    eServiceContactStat.jar=yes
    eServiceInteractionStat.jar=yes
    VCBStatExtension.jar=no

    any ideas?

  • Ok, so now would be interesting why SS responded that "Couldn't provide the service". Try to see the SS log of that time frame and see what GIS asked and what SS tried to do and answered.
    I'm suspicious about the Java Extensions.

  • No...at least not from me...without ideas...I saw a similar ticket with Genesys and they said that the root was that the statistics were still opened so they did something with it...maybe the best is now open a ticket with Genesys directly...
