Possibility to call external application from GAD

I have a business aplication created in visual basic (thick client) used by Call Center agents. I'm going to use Genesys Agent Desktop GAD (thin client web based GAD) as agent applications in the Call Center. I would like to call the business application (thick client) from the web based GAD. How can I do it ? Has anybody suggestions how to do such a integration (call of the business application with parameters from web based GAD) ?
