Hadoop And Bigdata Scope in Genesys

Can someone please tell me about the scope of Hadoop and bigdata in Genesys?
Is it useful to Learn these thing in Genesys?

But Genesys is also moving to cloud. And in Genesys also we need data management. Then we should have scope in bigdata and hadoop in genesys.
Can you please provide move thoughts on this.

That is perfectly true.  But Genesys are still busy selling GIM/GI2 (Infomart).  It's not their fault - they simply don't have the vision and they like selling stuff...

If you want data reporting skills for Genesys look for some ETL skills and Data Warehousing management in MSSQL/Oracle/DB2/Sybase/Informix - and brush up on your SAP Business Objects/BOU skills.

One more question. I want to go to GIM certification, but as far as I found out it looks like I need to go to some genesys class room training then only I can go for certification.
Can you please tell me the exact steps to go for genesys certification?
