SIP server to Tserver Communication

Hello Guys,

This may sound very basic question to you guys but I have to ask because my understanding on Genesys is pretty limited.

Question: what are the different ways does SIP server talk to a Tserver located at same site where SIP server located AND with the one located at a different site? Does it always use ISCC ?

They are different things.
SIP is a communication protocol, as H323 or TDM/ISDN for example. They carry the voice and signaling for that voice communication to happen. You implement this between PBXs.

ISCC is a Genesys propetary protocol between TServers only. Can be legacy TServers or SIP TServer. ISCC has the job to sync user data between TServers so if you do a transfer between Agent located at TServer A associated to PBX 1 to TServer B associated to PBX 2, then when second agent receives the call he knows and has the exact user data that agent from PBX 1 had. ISCC is optional, depending on your business needs.
