Invalid Destination DN

Hi All,

I have a server sip where are declared internal extensions (softphones that are registered on the previous sip server) and external extensions (independent Alcatel phones). I have a simple strategy that distributes the incoming call to a group of agents. When the place used by an agent is associated with the previous internal extension, the call is dispatched without problems. On the other hand, if this place is associated with the external extension, the URS send me the following error:

Is there any option I can use that inform the SIP Server that a given extension is not internal ?

What say SIP server logs (covering the bad call/interaction)? How did you set up the DNs from Alcatel? Are they SIP-based? If no, it cannot works as you expect.

Create a trunk pointing to that external gateway where those extensions exist

I have configured a trunk to a SBC so I can call the Alcatel extensions from a softphone that is registered to the SIP Server and receive inbound call from an external DID number through the SBC...

Kubig, what do you mean by are they SIP-based ?

That does trunk has a prefix parameter? Inbound is one thing, outgoing another

That prefix should match the Alcatel numbering plan
