Hi ,

I am trying to get more information how to use this feature as I am trying to set up some alarms in our environment here. However there is very less information available regarding the variable threshold alert - alarm detection . Can someone please show me where to go to find more info on this. Also any example implementation that will give me a bettter idea.

Also I am trying to set up alarms for the following log events:
- 00-02004 : Not enough disk space
- 00 -02003 : Insufficient memory

However these seems to be host related alarms rather than application based . So not sure if it will work if i set it up for application. Can some one clarify. I have already checked the log event id help file and not much information provided there either.

For the threshold alert, select 'advanced detection mode' in the alarm detection wizard, then add an 'alarm detection script', select 'host variable' which will bring up a mas where you can specify host, monitored resource and thresholds.

For the host-related conditions, selecting 'any application' should make them work.
