licensing related questions.

Hello Genesys geeks, I hope that you are all doing great.
I am building my own Genesys lab by installing the most recent versions of Genesys apps and these are my questions:
1-can i use a license file issued for a linux server on a Windows 2012 server after changing the hostname and host ID?
2-how can i get a license file that works on every Windows lab i build and what i need to change?
because i have read Genesys documentation about what can and can not be changed in the license file, and there are some contradictions?
3-can anyone provide me with a license file that i can use it to build my lab?

Thank you so much in advance,

Lab licenses have to be issued by Genesys.
If you’re a customer, Genesys will most likely ask for a lot of money.
If you’re a Partner you usually get some Lab license files for free (I think usually 2).

I’m pretty sure, that there is a way to re-use license files, but I guess it would be called piracy.

Afaik Linux host-ids are MAC address based and Windows licenses are using the volume-id.
Not sure if it is possible to convert.

Both Windows and Linux are now MAC based.

-is there anyway to know if the license file has been uploaded successfully to the configuration server(for example from it's database), besides the message that appears in the command window when running the confserv for the first time using the "confserv -license <license file>"?

-and also can anyone provide me with an example of the .opt file of the license manager that enlists the logging options of the License manager, because i have configured the "DEBUGLOG +C:\lm.log" but it doesn't create any logs?

Thanks for the sharing in advance,

For flexlm logs just follow the installation guide. At the daemon you can see all parameters
