Saving Outbound Emails to original Outlook Sent Folder
« on: January 08, 2019, 11:13:53 AM »
Hi everyone,

We have just launched Genesys WDE with email and social interactions routing through Genesys V8 (Not PureCloud).

The way in which the provider has setup the email functionality is that it will store any saved emails in Genesys, not in the original inbox Sent Folder.

Is there a way to setup the routing solution so that it will store the sent email back in the original folders Sent Folder, without setting up a BCC rule?

Sorry- I have asked this of the IT Team and seem to get a NO response, but this seems quite basic to me.

Thank you

Nathan

Well Sent folder is just used by your Email client went send is OK. Just that, a filter if you want to think on it. It is not an Exchange feature by itself.
Say you send an email via SMTP directly, like Genesys does, your SMTP engine is the one who sends it and have no clue on folders or stuff like that.
So, no, Genesys also has no clue on Sent folder created by your client.
