WDE to WWE

Currently we are using WDE and planning to move to WWE, with my initial analysis, i have below questions,

1. What is the need of cassandra db here? what we are going to do with cassandra?
2. Any configuration db [b]version[/b] upgrade is needed when moving to WWE?
3. The current WDE has customization to do remote logout of agents by supervisor and CRM (salesforce) integration. I know salesforce integration can be in done, but how about the remote logout, is that comes inbuilt or again we need to do customize?
