SCS gathering of host CPU and process metrics

My assumption is that SCS collect hosts metrics through SNMP / XServer requests. Just looking at pros and cons of SCS integration via PSDK  versus standard SNMP integration for this.

As far as I know, this is done via communication with LCA. On Windows, LCA uses WMI to gather the data, if I remember correctly. I don't know exactly how it does on Linux, though.

Edit: for a serious system-wide monitoring, I would go for SNMP, since you can go beyond monitoring just CPU and RAM

Yes I agree but without asking questions about what really goes on under the hood/bonnet I would not know half of the technical stuff about Genesys Engage that I know today :-)
