Transfer Error in Outbound 6.5

Hi folks,
I'm running some outbound campaigns on my site and having a lot of "Transfer Error" call results. My environment is described below:
OCS 6.5 running on a Unix platform
CPD Server 6.5 on a NT Server 4 with Dialogic Board linked to a Meridian 1 Option 81C through a Line side E1 card
30 analogic extensions by card

I know these calls don't arrive in Symposium scripts, but I wonder wether they are answered by the customers. On the documentation, it says that this error happens when the call is transferred from the dialer port to the agent. It doesn't say too much.

Does (or did) anybody have this kind of problem? Any information will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Paulo

Hi,
It is hard to say what could it be. Are you sure your campaign configuration is correct? Could you pass me the part of trace(CPD, TServer) where the problem appears?

We get a lot of transfer errors and on attempting to ring the numbers manually we noticed that the majority went to messages such as the person you are calling does not accept calls where the user witholds there number.

I would reccomend taking a small sample and attempt to ring them. A couple might get answered because they dialler could have got call waiting messages

We have seen the same error appearing in our calling lists. We noticed that nearly all of the numbers we were getting this on were mobile phones. It would be interesting to know if you are seeing the same thing.

Also which version of CPD are you running. The reason I ask is that we could only ever get 24 ports on our E1 card to work, the CPD server stopped dialling if you tried to add in the other 6. For some reason it was only accepting up to a T1's level of ports.

Hi Pelly,
I'm running CPD Server 6.5.000.04 with a Dialogic Board D/300SCE1.

If you need more information please let me know.

  • Hi Paulo, do you know if when you start CPD server up you see an application called 'Dialogic Trace Utility' start? This application needs to stay running for the dialler to actually make any calls. Also, are you configuring the setup of the ports on the E1 card via the Dialogic Config Writer application? If so, what are the settings that you have got in there as this is where we have trouble configuring more than the 24 ports.

    Thanks, Pelly
