Best way to have TTS and ASR in URS 8.1 without GVP

Hi all,
is it possible to have live TTS and ASR features in URS/SIP Server 8.1 without GVP? (record voice from interaction and give audio messages to it)

I mean like web service or what else.

No, it is not possible at all by pure Genesys components

I have to disagree from a technical perspective. So if the question is can URS work without GVP MCP components? YES.

Of course to do so we need to emulate the MCP functionality load balanced by RM in front and then link in to alternative media servers that potentially can use cloud (AWS or Azure) MRCP resources for TTS and ASR. I have a PoC that does exactly this but it depends on commercial interest to move forwards.

Your idea sounds awesome but you mention the use of RM, part of Media Server solution.
Gef has a premise pbx, in Genesys version version 8 but don't have sip server. That the main stopper I think. Unless you correct me Gef.

Now, even with sip server the use of RM is something authorized to be done? I mean... It is part of a product you might not own, Media Server in any shape.

Does your solution works with the open MRCP product?
Sounds interesting in a development point of view.

Mmm .. bit stuck without SIPS to be honest. Another option with SIP is Asterisk / FreeSWITCH integration.
