We need to setup a multisite environment (all Linux VMs) in a distributed mode that can support Genesys recommended DNS based DR model. Has anybody done that before?

I came across something while reading through the doc that's confusing me. Below is an excerpt of it :

"There must be two FQDNs that can be resolved globally for Framework VMs. Each pair of Framework VMs (Active and Dormant) must have the same pair of FQDNs and different IP Addresses."

here is the full link to the doc : https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/FR/Current/Dep/DrBc

how could different pairs of Framework VMs can have same pair of FQDNs? Any idea?

If you have done DNS based DR in a different way I would like to hear from you as well.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

First off - i have no experience myself in this regard so have that in mind...

I think the idea is that the machines are allowed to dynamically update the DNS record upon start.

So when you spin up site B that assumes control of the fqdn pair to provide service, and the proxies allow for read access during the outage where no HA pair is available?
