Should we allow job postings?

Hello dear Genesys users!

I had several requests from various companies about placing job postings at this forum. Personally, I am against it, because I believe it will slowly degrade the quality of this forum. There are already plenty of forums for CTI
elated jobs; however, this is only my personal opinion. What do you think? Do you think job postings should be allowed on this site?
I think it would be good to get an indication of average wages etc. for Genesys engineers. Personally i wouldn't mind having something like that, but then it should have to be on a separate forum and not in this one clogging up the discussion.

Just my 2 cents.....

How about creating a separate category?

I vote no. There are plenty of places on the net for job postings let's not open it up here.

Based on the replies I have received so far on the web, plus email, job postings would not be allowed at this site. I feel a bit sorry for the companies who are currently looking for qualified GCEs, but I think there are already quite a few very good CTI elated sites, such as www.callcentre.org and so on. If you need a reference to a CTI placement sites, please drop me an email, and I will send you the list.

I can't see the harm of a Job Sub-Forum, as long as that traffic stays within that area.

- Perhaps all posts should have an expiry date/time... sort of like UK supermarket customer notice boards... ;)

Dear all,

after discussing this matter with other members of this forum, we came to a conclusion that Job Forum might prove beneficial for members of this forum. For this purpose, we decided to temporary create a new forum delegated to provide latest job openings and other employment opportunities.

The following rules will apply to the forum at all times:
[li] Posters are required to register both their real names, company names, phone number and mail addresses. [/li]
[li] All posters are to clearly identify their company and if this job opening is at another company

 Headhunters and third-party recruiting agencies:
Recruiters acting on behalf of other companies are not allowed.
If you are a recruiter and you feel that your job offering will benefit this community, please contact Genesys CTI Forum Administrator at forum@sggu.com. [/li]
[li] All job posts are to be pre-approved by forum administrator [/li]
[li] All job posts are to contain the company name for which possible candidates are to apply, its location, and website. [/li]
[li]Job opening has to be a valid opening at the mentioned company[/li]
[li]Job description has to contain accurate description of the position and its responsibilities[/li]
[li]The forum will be used for job placement only.
Per-project positions, short-term contracts or calls for bids on a new projects are not acceptable.[/li]
[li]CTI Forum Administrator reserves the right to refuse and/or remove job opening ads at any time for any reason[/li]
[li]CTI Forum Administrator reserves the right to amend, modify and remove any rules regarding this board[/li]
We know that it might sound a bit draconian, but our site is literally bombarded by a dozen request each week by third-party recruiting agencies and Indian development companies trying to place some sort of job request or offer a service. At this time, we believe that Internet already offers plenty of opportunity for companies to advertise their offerings and employment opportunities, and such a post will not contribute to the overall well-being of this community. With time, as we are able to gauge the initial response to this forum, we will revise our current stance on such posts, but for right now, we hope you understand why we are doing it.

The idea of this forum is to help people find legitimate jobs at legitimate places. This forum is meant to gauge the initial demand for it, and if there is such, we will work closely with Genesys community to develop more meaningful rules to ensure that we all benefit the most from this idea.

Thank you for making this forum such a success!

Best regards,

Genesys CTI Forum Administration Team
