How to play busy treatments in a loop

Hi @ll,

we have a Alcatel 4400 (TServer 7.0.201.05) and try to play busy treatments in a loop.

In the routing target object we set as busy treatments:
1: Music 30sec
2: Waiting Announcemet

The URS execute both treatments.
After the second event "EventTreatmentEnd" the URS fails to take any action. And does not start to play the first treatment (music) again. The customer only hear silence.

Is there any TServer or URS option to force Genesys play busy treatments in a loop??

Thanks for your help,
Eva

URS should issue a treatment request after ending the second treatment. Since it is not issuing, it means that:

1. you have found a new bug
2. your total treatment time is not long enough.

Just a few things to check before we go hacking URS code for the clues:

1. what is the total maximum queuing time allowed for your virtual queue?
2. what is the total time you have entered for the treatment?
3. what are the times for each of your treatments?

The most common mistake is to have the total treatment time equal to that of each treatment.

  • Hi Vic,

to find bugs in Genesys Software........ is this something new?!?! ;o)

We are using the same URS to rout calls within a Nortel (81C) switch. And there every thing is working fine. Announcements are played in a loop.

But with the same URS and an Alcatel switch it is not.

The timeout of the target object is set to 9999sec.
The timeout of the waiting music is set to 30sec.
No timeout for the message. (There is no need to set timeouts for waiting messages. It is complete diffrent as with a VTO)

    Thanks Eva

Ideally, the same strategy should be working no matter what type of PBX you are using.

Have you checked if the call is routed to default?
Would it be possible for you to paste URS log starting EventRouteRequest and ending with RequestRouteCall or whenever the strategy ends and calls leaves the route point?

(PLEASE PLEASE REMOVE ANY OTHER CALLS THAT HAPPEN IN BETWEEN)
