Hi all,

I hope this issue isn't out of scope  ???

I am facing a problem connecting to  Icon DB

log DB server
"
+0000  Could not connect to SQL Server using SQL Server Native Client 11.0. Attemting default MS SQL Server driver...
+0000  odbcerr: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
+0000  MSG_ERROR status='dbNotOpened' msg='[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified '
"
Log ICON
" Std 04502 Cannot connect to CFG 'DBServer_icon' at host 'S00STE024', port 1436, reason 'DB server is disconnected from the database'"

the interaction concentrator version is 8.1.514.56 on Windows Server 2019 and DB MS SQL Server 2016

I tried with ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server and ODBC Driver 13 for SQL , the error message is the same on DBServer

I tested the connexion with ODBC Data Source Administator and the connexion was succesful with both version of drivers

What did i miss ?

Try to connect from Windows ODBC settings, it is good to discard connectivity/configuration issues

It seems your MS ODBC Driver configuration is not valid - try to check connectivity via ODBC apart Genesys apps

Hi Kubig
Thank you for the rely

I tested with ODBC Data Administrator and the connexion was suucesful.

I don't understand this ==> Could not connect to SQL Server using SQL Server Native Client 11.0. Attemting default MS SQL Server driver...

In my System DNS i specified ODBC driver 17 for SQL Server

Looks like you are using a SQL server instance: dbserver = 'DBHOST\SQL014
Try to modify your DAP, and add ',<portnbr> in the end of option DBMS Name

In you case dbserver = 'DBHOST\SQL014,1433

Or the port you actually are using!

I tested 3 configuration
DBHOST\SQL014,1436
DBHOST\SQL014
DBHOST,1436

We have 2 db on server DBHOST one on 1433 , 1436

I think that the problem is that  I am using the database password and not the password of the schema DBCFG.

I will test this later when our DBA send the password  ::) ::)

Also check the bit version of running apps and installed/configured ODBC

and on which one is your ICON DB created?

As per your password comment...you already tested ODBC so wouldn't make sense that you are using a new user/password

That is why I am asking your DAP conf, please help us help you by providing info as requested ;)

It's working with this configuration
DBMS = DBHOST\SQL014
My DBA send me the right passeword

My test was successful because there was 2 db on the same serveur. and the login was the same.

When I tested connectivity with ODBC data source administrator, I idid'nt change the option "change the default database".
