Composer and Eclipse

Hello
i am trying to deploy composer to build routing application but struggling to make it work.
I have followed pre-requisites and watched composer install clip but think it is missing eclipse install steps.
Does anyone have a link to a compatible eclipse that i should install? in eclipse site there are a few options for each release (ie juno, mars etc) but not sure which one i should select.
i think the steps are:
1) download compatible eclipse, unzip to local folder (ie /documents).
2) install composer on default path (v8.1.5), type in tomcat port (ie 8080), check eclipse plugins and for eclipse path it is the location of the eclipse folder in step 1?
3) i should now be able to open eclipse with composer perspective?

might be missing something but tried a few combinations but cant get composer perspective or be able to select it.
thanks.

Compatible versions are on this link:
https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/Composer/latest/Deployment/Preinstallation

The following Eclipse versions are currently supported as of Composer 8.1.560.15:

Eclipse Photon (4.8) - starting with Composer version 8.1.560.15.
Eclipse Neon (4.6) and Oxygen (4.7) - starting with Composer version 8.1.530.17.
Eclipse Luna (4.4.2) and Mars (4.5) - starting with Composer version 8.1.410.14.

on that link, there are also other pre-requisites and recommendations, such as:
-  Java Development Kit 1.7.0_0 or higher
- Genesys strongly recommends having an Eclipse IDE exclusively for Composer.
- Genesys strongly recommends the Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers packages.
- Composer downloads the required dependent packages during installation. Other than those packages that are automatically installed by Composer, DO NOT install additional Eclipse packages or frameworks on Composer Eclipse.

Also, follow the "Update Site" procedure on that link

You need that Eclipse have internet connection to download dependencies. If, however, your machine requires a proxy to connect to the internet, you should configure the webproxy on the Eclipse settings before doing that procedure of "Update Site".

Hi,

You can find all details in Genesys doc - https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/Composer/latest/Deployment/Preinstallation

I would recommend you installing the latest Composer release with Eclipse Photon. Typically, I use following approach:

1/ Download Composer package and install it without Eclipse deployment
2/ Download Eclipse Photon (https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/photon/r)
3/ Start Eclipse and install required GMF Tooling plugin (menu Help / Install New Software, set 'Work with' to https://download.eclipse.org/modeling/gmp/gmf-tooling/updates/releases/ and select 'GMF Tooling'). Restart Eclipse.
4/ Install Composer using archive (ZIP) file in Composer's installation directory (same process as in 3, just use ZIP archive). Restart Eclipse.
5/ Composer should be ready for use

That's weird. I've just tried it and it worked without any issues.

I used Eclipse for Java Developers (eclipse-java-photon-R-win32-x86_64.zip)

I know that Genesys recommends Eclipse for Java EE Developers but I had that file already on my PC...

EDIT: Eclipse for Java EE Developers (eclipse-jee-photon-R-win32-x86_64.zip) works without any issues as well.
