  • I have implemented 2 sites using the genesys supplied drivers and IServer. It is not very hard, but like all genesys implementations, it takes a lot of attention to detail. I would be happy to discuss my experience with you.

  • There are actually two ways of doing this. The first way is to get a Driver from Periphonics. The problem with this method is that the Periphonics Driver has to be built with the current Genesys TServer library. The problem I had with that method was the cost (this was in 98) of the Periphonics supplied interface. When I upgraded to Genesys 5.1 I had to go back and do this again. The second solution is to use the Genesys supplied IVR Driver. This driver interfaces to IServer on the Genesys side. Genesys provides a interface file which must be compiled and linked on the Periphonics side. They use named pipes to communicate with the vps. I have tried both methods and I prefer the latter. Make sure you have or can get a C compiler for the Periphonics. (I assume solaris sparc). Genesys supplies a Peripro script that can be used to test the connection. This info is about 14 months old.
