Hi,

I have the following situation...

GVP connected to H323.
Genesys uses s8700 ip switch for call routing.
IP switch need to be configured for 4 DN's to send the call to H323.
when a call comes to switch I need to use URS to send the calls to 4 DNs

my question is how to configure the 4dns in s8700 switch so that URS can target 4 dns?

thanks in advance.

Hi DJ,

How have you got the switch programmed?

If you have all the architecture installed, is all that you require the routing of the call to the ports???

Please give me more information.

Thx

  • Switch has not been programmed yet.

The problem is I have problem to program the switch.
Can you please give me some idea how to program switch?

In the switch how to create 5 ip extension and associate port to extension? I can create ip extension but how to associate port to extension?

In the CTI side, strategy need to send the call to 5 port/extensions.

    Thanks. DJ.

    HI DJ,

I can create the H.323 station in Avaya easily enough ( i was using a H.323 softphone), when connected and registered the Avaya's gatekeeper will associate the extn number with the IP address (list registrations). I still have to play around abit more as i was getting a few errors but i hopefully will have these sorted out on Monday.
The stations were just added by doing add station XXXX and type H.323.

In terms of GVP, i was speaking to a genesys guy and he tells me that it would connect using H.323 trunks and not stations.

If i have some time i will dig up my gvp brain..and have a look.
