Nortel Symposium / PBX upgrade

Currently, we are using Nortel 81c Rel 25.40b w/ Symposium 4.2. All of our Genesys applications are 7.x w/ T-Server being the latest 7.1 release.

We are in the planning stages of a major PBX / Symposium upgrade. The plan as it stands today is to migrate to Succession 4.5 and Symposium 5.0.

Has anyone undergone this upgrade before? I would be very interested in any "gotchas" / implementation steps / comments / etc...  ???

Thanks!
Mike

Being on release 25 the best you can do is Succession 3.0 upgrade without changing out all the IPE.  If you plan on changing the IPE as well, then no problem, you can get the latest release. To avoid any pitfalls get the switch in order first and then implement Genesys...I can't believe how many sites implement Genesys first and then try to correct all the switch problems.

Micheal,
We just went through the same upgarde as yourself. The only issue we had was to do with outbound. In 7.2 tserver there is a new option make-call-manner and this needed to be set to "belligerent". The symptoms were that all outbound calls were havin a connid of 0.
