customised ms crm and genesys integration

Hi,
Has anyone faced the situation to install genesys gplus adapter over a customized ms crm? The two primary files genesys is creating is callout.config.xml and isv.config.xml. How anyone tried to merge these files? We are facing some hang ups of the crm system in some situations. With stopping genesys services and commenting genesys from web.config these hang ups do not occur. Is there something special that should be aware in the merging of these files?

We have genesys express 4.2, gplus adapter 7.2 and crm 3.0
