multi-tenant multi-site question

Hi, folks,

we are in process of preparing a quote for a client of ours whose subsidiaries run several call centers.
Instead of setting up a genesys environment for each subsidiary I want to take advantage of multi-tenant option in CME and put all of subsidiaries into one genesys "grid".  Can someone please tell me more about multi-tenant multi-site configuration? How does it work? What are some of the benefits and what are some of the common pitfalls?
Has someone actually used it?  ???

  • Hi,

As for using multi-tenant - please specify what You want achive by implementing MT - if You want to prevent other sites from viewing each configuration/resources/reports configure properly security and use Configuration Unit and this should do the trick ( no need MT ).
Please also keep in mind that when You decide to Yous single or multiple tenant migrating to other options is not that easy.
Mutli-Tenant is usefull when You have common infrastructure - ( single TServer, single PBX ). If You have separates enviroments ( TServer/PBX etc ) and You want to keep it in the same config db use security.
I also run into problem because some sdk's didn't work well with multitenant enviroment - so please check all Your components before deciding to go MT.
Of course this are only my private opinions :) - I seen MT configuration in company with 2 departments running call centers on the same switch/genesys.

    Regards

    Paul
