Using SNMP within strategies

Does anyone know if you can use the 'SNMP Signaling Alarm Interface' variables within routing strategies.

I would like to use SNMP to poll a cisco router. If bandwidth reaches a certain capacity I would like to use the polled variables within a routing strategy.

ie snmp polls bandwidth every 30seconds. When bandwidth reaches a certain limit the strategy will dynamically decrease the amount of calls sent between a multisite environment. When bandwidth decreases to acceptable levels the strategy will dynamically react to allow multisite delivery.

Has anyone used the SNMP Signaling Alarm interface to do this ?

Hi George,

I've never heard about possibility to use SNMP variables in routing strategy. To be honest I'm pretty sure the Genesys SNMP Agent doesn't support that.

I would suggest you using CustomServer and build your own library/service that will communicate with cisco router using SNMP and returns the current bandwidth usage.
