Use Override option for DN?

Hi,

Anybody that can explain how Use Override are supposed to be used? What differs from using the Alias?
Can Use Override be used on VQs?

From CME help:
Indicates whether the override value should be used instead of the number or name value for accessing this DN in certain types of routing. The substitution only takes effect if you specify both the override value and select the check box. The override value must be unique within the Switch.

Any input appreciated!

As the description indicates, it is generally switch spesfic option. For example, with Avaya if you can change the route type to overrideDNIS and then enter sequence of digits. When you route to this DN, Genesys will DTMF the digits instead of routing to the switch.

So my question is, what are you trying to override with a VQ?
