Integration of GVP 7.5 EE with Avaya via SIP

Hello everybody,

Sorry for starting with question but... Has anybody did integration of GVP 7.5 EE with Avaya CM via SIP (SES 3). We're not able to make it working and our Avaya partner seems to be totaly lost. I would say they consider SIP to be a rude word ;)

What is working
- GVP is able to register configured Avaya extension (we get OK from Avaya side)
- We're able to initiate a call using 3rd party SIP client via Avaya after successful registration of SIP user on Avaya side

What is not working
- Avaya doesn't send any call to GVP. Every attempt fails with the error "denial event 1191: Network failure".

Unfortunately I don't have more information or logs right now... >:(

Hi Rene,

I haven't tried this yet, but have plans to do so early next year. My question is though, how are you sending the call to GVP? Through Avaya or Genesys? If Avaya, you want want to consider sending the call through SIP Server on the Genesys side, I know this works from Asterisk, so the general concept should be the same.

Let me know how it works out either way.

Thanks

Hi Rene,

we are planning to integrate GVP 7.2EE with AVAYA via SIP (upgrade to 7.5 possible).

Have you made it running last year?

Was SIP server used between AVAYA and GVP?

Any tips / recommendations / relevant docs will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Peter
