Genesys 7.5 Voice Agent SDK?

Hi guys,
We are going to integrate a Genesys with a FairIsaac CRM (Fico Helper) and this is claiming that they use Genesys 7.5 Voice Agent SDK...I believe it is needed a GIS. We actually use ActiveX libraries and no GIS available, can anyone confirm this? Genesys is taking too long...

Hi Cavagnaro,

I'm pretty sure that you don't need GIS as far as we're talking about Voice Agent Platform SDK 7.5. That SDK is considered to be the free replacement for ActiveX toolkit available in previous releases.

PS. Voice Agent Platform SDK 7.5 can be used for Voice only Agent Desktop integration. I'm not sure that integration with CRM system is "allowed" and would suggest you to discuss it with Genesys.

I know I am a bit late with my reply, but you DO NOT need GIS to use Voice Agent Platform SDK. Of course, if you want to access config server then VAP SDK is not enough.

I think Genesys has not really publicized Voice Agent Platform SDK as a FREE replacement for Genesys ActiveX well enough. It would be really nice to have an article on its CAN and CANNOTs (Paul?  ::) )

Pauls comments would be cool, however I found a Genesys document where it says that it is the replacement of ActiveX libraries (specifically says TLib CD), so I'm waiting also an answer from Genesys support guys...have several days now, so I believe they are discussing it harder.

Now I have an issue, a third party (FicoHelper, any references?) which are asking me all SDK documentation, I have said no, if they want to use Genesys, ask to the customer and customer to Genesys to discuss the integration levels. I tought on a first impression that their CRM was Genesys-ready, however now that they ask for documentation makes me think.

Hi,

Voice Agent Platform SDK is free replacement for Genesys ActiveX and the license allows development of voice-only agent's application. There is  good presentation called "Introduction to Genesys SDKs" available on DevZone (section "Documentation") where it's possible to find all information related to SDK incl. required licences.

to Cavagnaro - I've never heard about FicoHelper and would be really surprised they have Genesys integration ;). They have to sign an agreement with Genesys and buy Universal SDK license...

Uh! So for they to develop it they must sign something with Genesys? I better stop here helping them. Thanks for the notice. You are right, how can I be sure that this development will be only for this customer.

Voice Agent Platform SDK CD - Customer ▪      This is not a sellable item but is included with the following sellable items: (Genesys Framework, Genesys Inbound Voice, Genesys Network Voice, Genesys Enterprise Routing, Genesys Enterprise IPCC, Genesys Network IPCC, Genesys Network Routing, Genesys Managed Framework)
▪      This SDK is the free replacement for any T-Lib SDK (base T-Lib, ActiveX Desktop toolkit, Java Desktop toolkit) but can only be used for Voice only Agent Desktop integrations. Any other type of integration must obtain the appropriate runtime connector licenses and potentially the Universal SDK.

Guys one more question about this to be 110% sure, if I have a TServer 7.2 I can use a client developed with SDK 7.5 right??

Genesys maintains backward compatibility so it should work. To be sure just check you are not using some features introduced in TServer 7.5.

There is no such document available. You can find list of introduced feature in release notes of "T-Server Common Part" and particular T-Server (assume TServer for Alcatel in your case ;))
