Hello,

we have a question about the proper layout design for using Genesys SIP T-Server with Star Systems SIP Recorder.

We are using it in our IPMX environment and want to upgrade from IPMX to SIP T-Server. What troubles us is how can we use configure Genesys to send all RTP packets to the same server.

Until now we did not have to worry about this because the way IPMX works (RTP packets are passed through it for inbound, outbound, consult and internal calls) and gateway -> IPMX -> phone layout ensured that we could capture all the traffic (internal and inbound) at the switch that was connected to IPMX.

When we migrate to SIP Server, RTP packets will no longer be sent through one server, but will be exchanged directly between the end-points. While we still can capture inbound and outbound traffic, the traffic between two agents would no longer be visible, since RTPs that flow between them would not be visible outside their subnet.

One of the ideas floated by our engineers was to use Genesys Stream Manager, placed behind a switch that mirrors all the packets sent to Stream Manager to STAR's SIP Recorder as well, but we are not sure if this is possible. How do other users go about using loggers with their SIP T-Server environment?
