Genesys Integration Server (GIS) 7.2.000.11

We are trying to install GIS (Genesys Integration Server) 7.2.000.11 as a standalone server :

- [b]R:\GIS\windows\setup.exe
- Genesys Installation Wizard
- [b]Deploy GIS.SOAP (SOAP protocal) as standalone server[/b]
- Genesys Installation Wizard will install Genesys Integration Server Components for GIS.SOAP (SOAP protocol) standalone server.[/b]

We get the following error message :

[color=red][font=Verdana]Cannot receive information from Configuration Server:
Error occured while querying Configuration Server for application type "112": Querying Configuration Server failed.[/font][/color]

Does any one knows what application type 112 means, and what would be the reasons why we cannot connect to the Configuration Server and/or install GIS?

Config Server is at 7.2 and all other applications were upgraded to 7.2

Any help would be much appreciated

Have you imported the application template and configured a new application in CME yet?  If so, when you load up CME and click on Applications... Locate the "confserv" application and let me know what version it says for it.

The specific query if you wish to look in the database would be:
select * from cfg_app_prototype
where dbid = 112;

You could also omit the where clause to just do a full table scan.
The reason I was asking  in my previous post for the version number as displayed in Config Manager (you specify everything is 7.2), is that I have seen it in the past where the server components have been upgraded, but somehow the database got forgotten...  (big no, no!)

I am encountering the same error when trying to install GIS 7.2 on a 8.1 environment. I don't know if it is compatible. Does exist GIS 8.1?

Why do you install R7.2? It is out-of-support and EOL. Install GIS in R7.6 in minimal. BTW,in 8.1 exists other ways how to do scenarios without GIS,GIS is no longer needed

We are in a process of upgrading from Genesys 7.2 to 8.1. All the platform was migrated on this specific server, but GIS was never installed here, though in production environment is. So for PROD we will have to upgrade GIS too in order to work. We have GIS connected with a Symon environment which uses GIS like SES.

I very recommended to you use latest version of GIS. I am 100% sure that will not be R7.2,but above version

Finally, I made GIS 7.2 to connect and start with a 8.1 Config Server. The problem was java version. I had hava 6 and for GIS is needed java 5.

Now I have another problem: I want to add in SYMON Portal Admin the new Genesys Collector but as I see, even if the http verification page of GIS is working fine, when I try to configure, Symon still finds the services for the other GIS (Production one).

Does anyone has a Symon documentation?
