Hi Guru,

I'm looking for some explainations of "soft login" in a Tserver.
We use a Hicom 300 and we know that is possible, but no info from Genesys. If some preson try this for a other switch can you send me some hints.
Thks

Haven't heard of a 'soft login' can you give explanation of? Do you mean soft phone login?

No, in fact you do a login in the Tserver whitout any interaction with the PBX. You need only CSTA licences for the ACD queue (cti groups in fact) but no licence for agents.
Some Tserver are "soft login" compliant.
To explain: when you do a login you send some "command to the Tserver and then you do a login to the pbx, after this this info are send to the stat server and the agent is ready. You can bypass the pbx with a soft login, no info are send to the pbx, the tserver send directly the info to the stat server and the agent be come login ready.
I know some tserver flags involve to do this but nothing in the stat server.

  • I'm sorry I can't help you, but I'm curious about what you want to use a "soft login" for? I'm not sure I understand why you are trying to avoid the switch. For testing purposes????
