Siebel 8.1 needs tserver 7.6

[Siebel 8.1]

I hear then when I upgrade to Siebel 8.1 (from Siebel 7.7) I will need genesys tserver 7.6. Could I stay on gplus adpater 7.2 that I am currently using or do I also need to upgrade the adapter. Seem not to be able to find the answer anywhere.

Any suggestion would be greatly apprecaited,

I do not think the Siebel 8.1 is supported yet, not mentioned that version G+7.2 supports only Siebel up to 7.8.2. Though I have heard about people installing G+7.5 on S8.1, but I do not know if they were successful. Anyway the version of TServer is much more related  to version of other components you are using like outbound and then to adapter version. So if you are having OCS 7.6, you should use TServer 7.6 and G+7.5.

Hi Bernard,

Siebel 8.1 isn't currently supported by Gplus adapter 7.5 but new release supporting Siebel 8.1 should become available later this year. I would recommend you to wait for new release. If you can wait then it's possible to install existing Gplus 7.5 release and it should work. I have personal experience with such deployment and at least Voice component seems to be working properly. Just remember one important thing - Genesys won't provide you with any support for such deployment!

About T-Server - Gplus adapter for Siebel CRM release 7.5 is compatible with T-Server 7.0 and higher. I don't see any reason for upgrading T-Server to release 7.6 unless you need to use some T-Server's feature introduced in 7.6.
