Audio Codes with Genesys SIP (Multi Site)

Hi All

We have done a couple of SIP installs in South Africa but never a multi Site one. Well now we need to do a install with a 1000 agents across two sites using GVP Audiocodes and SIP. I have gone trough the normal posts but could not find anything related to audiocodes and multi sites.

My question will we have issues with multi site transfers trough audiocodes, and what about attach data.

If someone can help I will appreciate it.

I'm sure alot of people will agree that SIP is becoming more and more the standard, most of our smaller installs was all done on sip and even the corporates is starting to ask questions.

Hello Gret
I have worked with Audio codes before though it wasnt a multi site deployment.  This is what my belief is I am not a 100% sure but, the data will be transffered throught the data channels in Audio codes that you define and the calls via the active ports.  again with SIP with multip site ie you will have different SIP servers or you can have one, with agents hanging off a one sip switch should be the same ie with ISCC transfers

thanks

Ali

Hi Gert,

I don't have experience with Audiocodes but it should be possible to use it in multi-site environment. It's necessary to split multi-site into two layers - voice path and data path. Voice path is covered by Audiocodes - it would be necessary to define numbering plan and connection (trunk) between Audiocodes devices in localities A and B. Data path will be covered by SIP Server and ISCC that allows you to transfer attached data together with call. SIP Server does support ISCC so it is standard multi-site configuration.

Question - are you planinng to have Audiocodes in both localities or just in one? In second case you won't need to bother with multi-site...

R.

Hi Thaler

We have also done 4 installs so far with Audiocodes but never tried multi site, if you run a multi site solution I would like to talk to you if possible.

Thanks Gert

Hi Gret,

We'd done multisite using AC at each site,  works Fine for both Data and Voice as well.

  All the best.
