Attached data on transfered call

We are making an outbound call from our IVR and attaching user data to the call. We receive the the "EventAttachedDataChanged" and we can display the user data.

The call is then transferred (but not with a genesys function) to an agent group. Our problem is, the attached data is not available for an agent screen pop. From what we have been told , this is because the call arriving at the agents desktop has a different connectionID than the call to which we attached the data to.

We do not get any "EventDialing" events for the transfer (or any other events). If we did I could use the connectioID from that event to attach the data to the call gong to the agent group.

This is on an aspect switch.

Does any one have any ideas on why we would not get events for the "transfer to" side of the call?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy:

Try changing the Tserver option consultuserdata to "inherited".

This option should normally take care of attacheddata for transferred calls.

Thank you,
Ramesh.

  • That or there is another one "joint'. If you set it in "consultuserdata' then the data in both of your calls would be merged. That is, data you attach to your consult call would also be present in your original call, plus data in your original call would always be present in your consult call. :)
