  • Peter,

what country are you located in? Depending on the region, the price seems to vary. Also, different VARs charge really different prices.

Do they just quote you license or work and maintenance as well?

  • Peter,

license fee is really really different depending on the people you go with. Some of the companies offer basic framework licenses for 800$, while the others charge $1500 it all depends on how many icenses you buy.

Since you are using Genesys Express, I guess it is about 50 seats or so, so you would not be able to get any decent discount.

Maintenace of 15% and 22.5% is the standard rate. 22.5% is 24 hour support, right?

There are quite a few Genesys integrators in U.K, so you should shop around for the best quote. But, what I am really confused is why you are charged 30% for the work? Will they be modifying your PBX too?@Modifying your CRM?

If not, then installation itself should not take more than 1 day. Design is almost nonexistant because the thing comes as is! Sure, they might need some time to prepare, document it, and so on, but the good rule of thumb is that at max you should pay $200 per hour (forget $1000/hr Genesys says their P.S. is charging) with $50 per hour on non echnical work (documentation, meetings, etc).

It is hard for me to really tell you the exact hour your would need, but here is an approximation:

    preparation 24 manhours
    setup and testing 8 manhours
    servicein day presence 3 manhours
    training 8 manhours +

Please note that depending on CRM implementation, it might change dramatically. Since there are a lot of Genesys integrators in U.K. (just call Genesys and ask them to send you a list), you can check out the price by telling your requirements to some additional companies.

Remember: there is no reason to have one company do both PBX, CRM and CTI. In most cases, you can do it faster and cheaper by using small SIers for the dirty work and have big expensive companies to provide you with the license only.

It is hard to be more precise without knowing :
    number of seats
what work is needed? (Genesys only?) Softphone? CRM?hardware?
Will PBX be changed? If so, what type and how?
how many days are they projecting?
    how much are they quoting?

If I have this information I can ask some companies I know as to how much they would charge for it, and that would give you an idea, plus some additional options.

Needless to say, you can email it to me if you want.
