Event Codes / Alarm Conditions

Hello,

Is there any documenation available which shows all the codes for all events?

I want to set up a alarm condition within SCI which will distribute an email alert when we receive eventerrors and other types.

Am I correct is asserting that we as customers set up our own alarm conditions and there are no standard out the box ones available.

Thanks,
WA

Look at the LMS files in the installation folder of each component.

... or look at fr_logevents-help on Genesys Documentation DVD or for Framework 8.0 Combined Log Events Help at Genesys Support Page

I tend to find the LMS files better for "undocumented" messages, especially for T-servers.

I have set up an Alarm Condition for DN Out of Service but despite having plenty of these no alert has been generated.

The documentation states to use detect code of 01-52000 (we are using sipserver with avaya ses)

I wonder if anything needs restarting?

Thanks,
WA

Hi,

In the alarm condition set the detect event to 52000. You obviously also need to ensure that SIP server is configured to log events via Message Server (network log events).

Also you have to be sure that you're receiving message 01-52000 in SCS logs. If you're not receiving that message then no alarm will fire up.

Please note that 01-52000 message is only generated by SIP Server for Voice over IP Service DNs and Trunks DNs. Such message is not generated for Extension DNs.

So there is no detect code for Extension DN's out of service?

Thanks for clarifying anyway.

At least not in SIP Server 7.6 and older.

If you really need to control these events, then you should develop a Tlib client that looks for theses events and notify you about them.
