Does anyone know anything about Genesys contact navigator? I have spent several hours reading the documentation we got from our vendor, but, so far, I still have trouble picturing how it would fit into an overal picture.

Has anyone actually implemented it?

Actually, I was reading it too and I really would like to find out mroe as well. Has anyone been using it? What are the merits of using it? Why would we want to use it?

Thanks,

Vic

I'm looking at a really old environment and I know this is a really old post, but does anyone know where Genesys Contact Navigator (GCN) fits in?  To me it looks like an Agent Desktop - a function that would now be filled by GAD.?

GCN was the first version of GAD (GCN Web version actually) which initially was an executable (GCN). Then GAD came in and replaced it completely.

Hi Kent,

I have implemented GCN 2 months ago. Its really simple .... It uses apache tomcat as a app server.
I only use genesys manuals uploaded in ftp. They are good enough.
