With GVP 8.x onwards, GVP is always in behind mode in respect to the SIP Server switch. However, you can have integrate it to the PSTN via an IVR Server deployed in a in front mode. Further details can be found in the VPS integration guide.

Thanks for your quick reply.
You mentioned there is in front mode in VPS integration guide. Do you mean Carrier-Connected, CTI Through IVR Server scenario? in which, PBX also directly connects to PSTN.
is it possible that Pbx is located behind IVR?

No, that one is CTI Through IVR Scenario with IVR behind. What you are after instead is not described in that section (God knows what runs through Genesys Tech Pub), look further ahead under section 'Support for IVR Server', 'Integration with IVR Server in front', page 96.
The 'in front' / 'behind' here refers to the IVR Server relative position to the switch compared to SIP Server.

So, how to do GVP integration, if GVP connects to PSTN directly, and PBX is located behind GVP? is this mode mentioned in document 81gvp_ig-vps.pdf?

I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not here to point you every time to a specific page of a manual - just go through it [or I'll be forced to quote Timur and say RTFM].
In GVP 8.x the only way to access GVP is via SIP Server, so as far as I know, you can't plug it directly to PSTN.
Also, I don't understand what you mean with 'PBX behind GVP'.

When I said connecting to pstn directly, actually, I mean GVP connects to pstn, not pbx. of course, there must be a media gateway, for gvp 8.1 is pure ip solution.
For PBX behind GVP, I mean same thing, GVP connects to pstn (through meida gateway), not pbx, which connect to GVP.
sorry for confusion
