Current Genesys move and ideas

Is it me or questions and users are becoming more newbies and taking Genesys as a hobby and lets-see-what-happen software?

Cav,

I agree. I'm going to stop checking posts here soon if we keep getting questions which are either stupid or could be answered by a bit of RTFM.

We have lost some level we used to have. Before were questions from Genesys engineers like us and now we are reaching the level of question on how to do a SQL connection...but this also makes  me wonder: To whom is Genesys selling their software now and being accepted as partners? I do remember clearly we had to take trainings before even thinking to install Genesys on customers...but now? Seems Genesys is giving it to anyone who pays the partnership fee. Wonder at what point Genesys will realize this is bad business as a bad implementation will lead into a customer message: "Genesys sucks" and it does begin to do actually based on the business model they are oriented now.
I think they are desperate to gain market revenues after ALU break down and now need more money but this is definitively the wrong way.
I just hope, someone from Genesys still reads us (good old times) and take this on consideration.

No chance.

I was thinking about bringing back The Wire as an online magazine but Genesys weren't interested so why should we?

Sadly I agree...being a Genesys fan lost its charm.
I wonder what would happen if we close the forum? Genesys own forum doesn't even reach one toes...Genesys doesn't care now because they copied the initiative here but copied only the "forum" not the time and dedication we did...

You're right, Genesys own forum has been left to rot (just like the user base).

The thing that keeps me from dismissing the online magazine idea is that there is a need for an information exchange at all technical levels plus there are some juicy bits of information that should be shared but there is no way do so....

Actually we have digressed from the original thread, maybe we should start a new one or can one of the Mods split this thread?

Yep I understand you Pavel. I'm also here to try to learn and help but last topics we see around are stupid...
I love the forum because of the whole knowledge it contains and will (unless we resign) that moves with the product new ideas from tech part but I'm getting sick and even refuse to answer some topics which are too away from Genesys

I'm trying to stop using the Genesys owned forum and just use this one. There's too much spam and its not active enough. One quick shutout for Chris Munn on the SDK sub-forums, at least he answers questions and tries to keep that area moving.

Yup Chris does a huge job but alone can't do much, then there are a couple of guys who try to help but will not go more from there.
What do you think of a BEGGINERS section so we can differentiate the level at least at some degree?

Hehe I guess you are trying to say somebody with an X on his avatar is from Genesys? If so you are very helpful indeed and your support is very very appreciated but Genesys like company/brand doesn't care about this community.
