Genesys Administator?windows 2008 R2 Connection Error

On Windows 2008 R2 running GA 8.1.200.07 when attempting to login receiving the following error "Connection Error. Unable to connect, please check the host and port entries"

When logging onto to GA (different URL) runngin windows 2003, its all fine.

Any suggestions ???


UPDATE:
further to this, when enabling "EnableLoginCommFailureDetails" to true,  he following descriptive error is received

And could you connect to confserv port and ip from GA host? We are using GA in same version on same OS and no problems registered

can cannot (via cme) to config server OK

Could you advise the value of the REG key on the GA host HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy for the Key enabled. 1 or 0

0 is the value of registry key

thanks, ours was 1, when changing to 0 and resetting to IIS its fine.
