Third Party Server - Status 'Unknown'

Hi,

I'm having an issue with a Third party server app that is used to run a Scheduled task on a server.  The task does not run because the application has a staus of 'Unknown'.  There does not seems to be an issue with connectiong / communicationg with the server.  I have searched around and have not been able to find anything specific, and I'm not 100% sure that this is a Genesys issues, however, has anyone here experianced the same problem?

Check your 3rd app configuration (instal folder, process name, process arguments,etc.) and if the app is correctly running.

Hi Kubig,

The app is triggered as the result of an alarm condition in SCS that in turn is generated by a URS Event.
The app itself consists of running the contents of the command line / command line argument.  In the event of the alarm being triggered it should then try and start the app and put it into a Primary state, and as a result run the command.  (it never goes into primary, as there is no app to start) However, the app should be in a 'stopped' state, not 'unknown' state.  I have cheked everything else.  Any idea's?

I do not understand what common is for alarm condition and status of your app or what you wrote as last. But for monitoring status of any custom process is necessary to configure application object properly - set host on which app is running, process name and parameters for allow LCA to correctly monitor app status.
If the host configuration is missing on app object, than their status in SCI is "unknown". In case when host is configured, but process configuration is missing, than status is "stopped".
